So much for the comfy green chair and how comfortable banking can be. This is a load of B.S. As a business banking customer for over 35 years, and with a newly departed branch manager that I'd had a long standing and excellent relationship, I'm now treated like a potential fraud criminal, if I deposit a client's cheque and have insufficient funds in my account at the time of deposit. Holds are placed for 15 business days which translates into nearly a month when you factor in weekends. Neither convenient or good in terms of my relationships with MY clients. Never ever had holds placed on any USD or CDN business account cheques before, till now. Never ever bounced a cheque in 35 years of business account deposits. Now all bets are off and there's no trust on their end at all. I am actively looking at Meridian or another small business banking option, where the customer is given the benefit of the doubt and made to feel that their business, matters. - JP
