Reviews of Barrie Public Library in Barrie

I will no longer be using this location, as it has becoming a very uncomfortable and unsafe feeling experience. The past few times my young son and I visited the Worsley location, it has been surrounded by and full of hopped up drug addicts. They are either twitching and tweeking out front, in the lobby and in the back “quiet” areas, or passed out or nodding out front or in booths in the library. Went to the ladies bathroom to see someone shooting up right at the counter. What is the point of having security if this type of behavior is allowed to happen. This is not a safe or enjoyable environment for anyone, let alone citizens with young children. I fully understand this is an illness and many people require help, but something needs to be done to make visitors feel safe and comfortable at this location. This is not a new problem but it is definitely a worsening, and embarrassing one and something needs to be done to make this location safe and enjoyable once again.
