A recent post reminded me about my experience with Dr. Amos when I was a child and I feel it’s important to share.
My Mom took me in as a young girl because I needed a cavity filled. When I went back in the room I told her I was scared and she told me to stop being such a baby. At one point she grabbed my face very hard and was shushing me when I was crying. She ended up pulling two of my teeth without even asking my mother first. My Mom was in a rage when I came out and she found out what happened.
She wrote the dental board about the situation and at one point we talked to a lawyer, but it all kind of fizzled out.
I still have anxiety about going to the dentist to this day.
