Worst customer service ever. The man at the fat man at the desk literally yelled in my face and told me to stop asking questions about the batteries. Unacceptable arrogance from someone trying to run a business. Do not go here.

Review

I paid 105.00 to have a man laugh in my face and tell me my bank wouldn’t do anything about it. You want a real review there it is, unscripted …my experience with All Auto Battery on in Ogden

I think it’s time for a real review, I’ll start by saying I don’t do many and when I do it’s because of one of 2 reasons… either the service/product exceeded expectations or or fell terribly short of providing anything that even resembles an positive customer experience so I recommend you take my advice.

First off this is not about 105.00$ this is about the total disregard for customer wellbeing after the sale is processed, problems arise but how a company and its employees go about them defines who you are and the company you represent, and if the company stands by the way it’s employees treat their customers rather than what’s written on their receipt then they are a fitting match, otherwise they need to train their employees to follow company standard and protocol.

I would like to draw attention to the receipt which states clearly “RETURN MUST BE DONE WITHIN 3 DAYS - ALL RETURNS ARE SUBJECT TO A 15% RESTOCKING FEE” (obviously implying that you’ll get your money back minus the 15% restocking fee) THIS IS FALSE.

Day one: The moment I first stepped in the store after finding them on Google I was met with a “what do you want” kind of vibe, the kind that make you question if you walked in the right door so I’m not sure where all this “excellent customer service” that I saw in the scripted reviews disappeared to on that day. I didn’t pay much attention because I thought “in and out right”…? …I was very wrong!

I came to purchase a battery because my existing battery wasn’t holding a charge “it was dead” alternator was fine as I had it tested prior to this day, this is why I knew it was the battery, anyways I bought a heavy duty one at 85$ plus 15$ core fee, because at the time is sounded like a good deal. The first battery he brought out looked like it had been in an accident “the back was crumpled and looked unsafe to be honest” I asked for another and noticed that he seemed inconvenienced by the question… but I had already paid so I waited until he brought the next battery back …I returned to my vehicle and placed the battery in and immediately I got a warning and battery light in my car which had never been there before, so I took the battery out went across the street from where I was and purchased a new battery at full price. I put it the new battery and problems where immediately solved. So I thought nothing of it, I had a mechanic check the battery and he let me know it was faulty …so I’d return the faulty battery I got from All Auto Battery and be on my way.

Day 2: I called to let them know that I was returning it and I would have began to tell them the reason if I hadn’t been shouted off the phone and bombarded but accusations of “buying the batter just to use for a moment and returning it” I was speechless! Again, On the receipt is says returns must be done within 3 days, and comes with a 15% restocking fee, it said nothing about an interrogation or being subjected to these ridiculous claims.

(nothing in regards to in store credit was either on receipt or disclosed me the first I’m hearing of this is when Arrived in the store 2 days later to tell them that I’m returning it) however whoever I spoke to could obviously care less about their policy and shouted me off the phone.

So to sum it up at this point while running around to fix my car I pretty much came into their store and gave them 105 to just hold onto for me. And in exchange I’ll take A faulty battery which cannot be used and fork out another 240 for a real one elsewhere.

How I worded it in this review is nice compared to the way the person on the phone was talking to me.
