Reviews of Gubans Shoe Clinic in Calgary

Went to this place today. An unfortunate customer experience, worst of my life.
Let’s start. First the place isn’t called Gubans it’s called Shoe Clinic - not helpful.
Walk in the store, it’s small physically and that’s fine. It also means that it is totally obvious when a new customer walks in. The owner/operator is speaking a customer. He doesn’t acknowledge a new customer at all - ok he’s busy guess. He and his customer are “chatting” about people they know, customer shows owner pictures on a phone, talking about people they mutually know, etc. Only two short moments are about whatever work he’s doing for the customer. I am standing there if not 5 minutes then just about.
I should mention neither person had a mask on and there was no evidence of masks at all.
I leave without saying a word. No attempt by the owner to say “ can I help you” or “we’ll just be a minute”.
This fellow doesn’t deserve to be in business.
