Reviews of Mister Transmission in Calgary

I paid $4000.00 to have my transmission fixed. 4 years later my car broke down in Salmon Arm and it was the transmission. The owner that must have been in his 70’s at the Salmon Arm Transmission company has taken pride in transmission rebuilds and told me whomever did my transmission previously took many shortcuts and that’s why it failed. Once I told the owner of Mr. Transmission this info, I had taken my car into Calgary muffler to get a catalytic converter replaced. What happened next will shock you. The owner of Calgary muffler knows the owner of Mr. Transmission and when I dropped my car off for the day, at Calgary Muffler, they sabotaged it. They cut both my catalytic converters off and welded straight pipe. One was still fine! They drained all the radiator fluid. They took off the inside odometer cover to break the light for the temperature and oil gauges. This was so I wouldn’t see my car overheating. Then they must have revved my engine for quite sometime as it melters my transmission Overdrive wire, as well as melted the block heater wire. It wrecked both my blower motor and the blower motor resistor. The day I got my car back my fan speed in the car only had one setting. High or off. It was working fine before I dropped it off. When I tried the overdrive button I heard bang, bang, and the overdrive no longer worked. When I got about halfway home both O2 sensors cables were tucked up in my car and had come free as I was driving. They were flinging everywhere and I had to bring my car back. I didn’t know about them draining the radiator until I had to replace the blower resistor. You have to drain a bit of antifreeze out to take off a few hoses to get at it. That’s when I discovered they completely drained my antifreeze. This discovery wasn’t for a month, when my parts came in from Rock Auto. Good thing I didn’t drive my car too much. Then another delayed event was when I went to plug my car in a few months later when it dropped to -28C. My block heater always worked. All of a sudden it started to spark and crackle and would have started a fire if I would have plugged it in my garage and walked out. But I was getting something from my car when I heard it crackling. Before I could unplug it my house breaker, it tripped the entire garage breaker. Anything plugged into my powerbar in the garage was immediately shut off. Good thing I plugged it in a powerbar and not straight into the power outlet.
What these companies did to me was complete sabotage and they tried to destroy my car. I am deciding if I am going to lay charges and sue them. I did end up asking the owner of Calgary Muffler if he knew the owner of Mr. Transmission and he replied I know him quite well. They answered my question of why would Calgary Muffler purposely sabotage my vehicle. These two businesses are a few blocks apart.

Outstanding customer service! We were on a road trip, and went to Mister Transmission because we thought we had a transmission problem, but Chris diagnosed that it was actually an exhaust problem. He worked with his colleague down the road to diagnose and take care of the exhaust problem. Both Dawn and Chris were super helpful and went above and beyond to help us get back on the road! I highly recommend this Mister Transmission location!
