If I could rate lower, I would have. My experience with ProGrace left me traumatized, in pain for years and with one less tooth than I started with.
I went in because a crown fell off one of my back, lower molars. They suggested a routine root canal and permanent crown.

the dentist botched the root canal, broke through the root end and pushed the material into the area where the nerves are. i have had root canals before and they have been quick and painless. i used to joke that I'd rather have a root canal than a cleaning because I have sensitive teeth and a cleaning would take way longer than a root canal! no more do I make that joke. this root canal took hours. i think they suspected he botched it early on because he kept taking X-rays. the tech who assisted him was terrible and even took an X-ray without the lead apron.

I had just started a new job, was still under probation and on a contract, used all of my dental benefits and my sick days as a result of the excruciating nerve pain from lower jaw to eyeball. it felt like I was being burned by electricity and was the most intense pain I have ever felt. I wanted to die. I had to return many times for xrays, stronger pain meds - even oxy barely touched the pain. the pharmacist was concerned about the amount of pain meds i was being prescribed and the risk of death as a result. they offered me an overdose kit - just in case. do you know how scary that thought is?

I was then referred to an oral surgeon/specialist who suggested the tooth be extracted as a result of the botched job the dentist at ProGrace did.

I missed a family wedding, was unable to work for about two weeks - then had to work, while drugged and in pain because I had no more sick days left, I maxed out my benefits and was out of pocket, I couldn't parent my children because of the pain (I'm a single, full time parent!), had to pay for a specialist consult and THEN ... had to have my tooth extracted (by a different dentist there) leaving the rest of my teeth vulnerable and me without a tooth and the shame and embarrassment that comes along with that.

They made a pathetic settlement offer - but it meant having to have an implant, done by them - which I wasn't willing to do. it was then referred to the terrible dentist's insurance to resolve- they refused to return my emails and ran the clock down until it ran out the time on the offer. She was about as unprofessional as they come - but that's par for the course for this dental office.

I do have to credit the hygenist who helped me at time of extraction though. the extraction wasn't easy and took a long time. I tend to have a pretty high pain tolerance, but with this I almost fainted. She was very kind to me and probably the best part of the whole office.

After extraction - I thought the pain would end - I was wrong. I continued to have radiating nerve pain and numbness as a result of the material left behind and it pushing on the nerves. I was left in pain like this for over a year. I no longer trust ANY dentist. If I have to go, I almost have full on panic attacks before getting there and while in the chair.

I'ce been through a lot in life, but this left me with scars that still haven't healed. it took me 3 years to write this review as a result of the trauma and avoidance of even speaking their name.

I feel, now, that I need to warn others about this dental office so maybe they can keep teeth that shouldn't be extracted due to disease.

I wasn't having pain from that tooth before going in - I just needed a crown replaced. I wish I had never called ProGrace and will regret that decision for the rest of my life.

Choose wisely, people.
