Reviews of Ramsay Animal Clinic in Calgary

Absolutley horrific experience today.
I have been using this vet for a while, one of the vets is very understanding and helpful, and the previous vet techs were great. I used this vet for my six dogs for about a year, every single month taking them (& 2 of my anxious pups) for nail trims. One day i called to book an appointment, and a NEW vet tech who had never met my dog, heard that my dog was an issue and refused to even meet him or try to do his nail trim and reccomended i do sedation. I decided to move to another vet. They have been great! Have done our nail trims for months. The other day i booked a sedation appointment for my pup as he has been more anxious than usual and it was reccomended by our new vet as well, but i decided to book with ramsey to give them another chance. When I called, I asked for a quote INCLUDING bloodwork, and was told 300. I dropped him off this morning, and i stayed 1.5 hours to help them calm, and sedate my dog as they were short handed (they are always hiring and are always short handed.... ). When they called me to pick him up, i asked for a final price and was told $664.
I arrived at the clinic to pick up my dog, let them know i was given an original price of 300 and after an entire hour of arguing, fighting the vet tech who did NOT inform me of additional costs, going through the forms, learning they recorded my phone call booking without consent (no big deal),,,, but refused to let me listen to it so i could prove that i was told it would be 300 total, they finally agreed to not charge me for the extras that i was given an incorrect amount for. The vet techs were EXTREMELY rude, back talking, being extremely inappropriate with attitudes that they "did nothing wrong". When asked questions they constantly changed their stories, lied and were caught red handed, and stormed off to talk loudly about me in the next room. The vet was trying to be understanding, and after hearing me out and agreeing I was underinformed and misguided, decided to honor the original price I was told.
I do give credit where it is due, and appreciate the vets compassion, willingness to listen, and ability to problem solve.... but the vet techs have once again made me feel like this is a business out for cash, and that i cant expect any customer service or compassion from them, therefore i can no longer trust this clinic.

Can't even examine a cat. Did not do any physical examination to him and 6 days later he passed .... they refuse to see my dog aswell
