Reviews of Moe's Home Coquitlam in Coquitlam

We are very unhappy with our purchase. We purchased a leather sectional for over $5,000 (yes, sale price) and granted it was a sale item we expected the $300 delivery charge to be waived. I spoke to Vancouver Moe's and also some other furniture stores who advised they would not charge delivery for an item that expensive even if it was on sale.

Moe's Coquitlam said regular priced items can be waived delivery fee but not sale items - they refer to their website. Yet, when I mention that the Vancouver Moe's was offering free delivery for a sale item they say each store has their own policy. I am unsure whether I understand their logic: sometimes they say they follow Moe's policy but other times they say they have their own policy?!

We asked for a refund because the store was fighting with us re: $300 delivery fee in relation to a $5,000 item.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER CARE PERSON AT THIS LOCATION: The customer care manager called me this morning and basically threatened to charge us warehouse fees if we refuse to pay and provide delivery dates. She talked to me in a very condescending manner which you would not expect from a customer "care" person. She was not willing to hear what has led up to the conflict and not even want to listen to why we were unhappy with them.

Spoke to Moe's headquarters right afterwards who advised this is an ongoing issue with the Coquitlam store and they've had a lot of customers come to them to complain about the Coquitlam store. I WOULD NOT SHOP HERE AGAIN. I have had very good experience with the Vancouver store so it is unfortunate that this store is allowed to run their business under the Moe's name yet provide very poor customer service.
