Reviews of Team One Martial Arts in Coquitlam

My 5 years old granddaughter started Taekwando with Team One just a few short months ago. She takes also different jazz classes and gymnastics, so she picks up anything that requires good fitness ability very quickly. I have been observing her progress and what I have seen is far beyond the physical skill. Teachers and instructors teach the kids by simply living the life of respect, self-discipline, compassion and integrity. Taekwando is more than just a skill. Marshal arts require the oneness of body, mind and spirit; and this is something I have been seeing in teachers' daily interactions with the students. There are no written rules. No handbook of acceptable and unacceptable behavious. It is a way of life and the only effective way to leave the imprints on young souls and hearts is to 'walk the walking', and "talk the talking". This is definitely something I have been seeing there. Out of our granddaughter's many activities Taekwando is one of many, but I strongly believe, that this the one that would benefit her for life; teaching her self-defence and physical skills, but most importantly -- self-discipline, respect and compassion, integrity. I'm certain, that any child who would continue and persevere in the training, would become more balanced, more centered, stronger, and ready to face whatever life challenges would come their way. I am very impressed with the stuff of Team One. I feel good energy in the studio. I feel the kids are not only supervised and taken care off, but they are truly respected. It really feels like the teachers of Team One live the way of true marshal arts, even when they deal with "little people". I would gladly give them 10/10. if there was such a score. My deep respect and true appreciation of you all for living what you "preach".
