Since my recent, critical review on Nov. 14, 2022, Doug, the Owner really stepped up. He contacted me and had my concern addressed the next day. The service Tech, John came by this morning- a super guy - and did the necessary work. We are delighted!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness, Value

We had our new, Amana heat pump system installed 18 months ago, in April 2021. It was certainly not the least expensive quotation we had. However, my wife and I were initially impressed with the Sales Consultant, Bob and what he had told us about the company he represented, 21 Degrees, and their products. A few weeks later, the installation technicians also seemed pleasant and competent. Within the year though, the outdoor unit failed. However, in a month or so, it was replaced under warranty. So far, so good.

BUT...

...last year, an Amana Rep inspected our eplacement unit. The 21Degrees tech that accompanied him disconnected the outside unit's power but then neglected to reconnect it. As a result, we paid for expensive, auxiliary electric heat during the winter months. After some prodding, Doug, the Owner agreed to partially compensate us for that unnecessary expense.

We were initially told by Bob that the ongoing maintenance requirements would be diarized and scheduled by Courtney, in the 21 Degrees office. Having not heard from her, I called in June, 2022 to arrange for the warranty-required system maintenance to be done. I was told that they couldn't possibly do that work until mid-November, 2022 because they had an "overwhelming work load".

Today, 21 Degrees Mechanical Ltd. is asking that we wait on them for an additional 2 months because they are "bombarded with emergencies." Our Amana 10 Year Warranty stipulates that routine maintenance must be performed. This unattended responsibility is worrying to us.

To say that we are frustrated does not fully capture our true feelings toward 21 Degrees Mechanical Ltd. They have delayed and ignored us and other customers that we earlier and mistakenly referred to them.

Even in these challenging times, these repetitious delays and oversights may be the symptoms of struggling management and a company that is in desperation. We now regret that we did not take our business elsewhere.
