Had over $10,000 worth of work done here on paint repair, including a windshield repair. I wanted to repair my windshield at Mercedes, but Muhammad was adamant that they train Mercedes techs, and are certified. Later, I called the Mercedes Service Manager who confirmed this is not true. But at the time, I didn’t know this, and I proceeded with the windshield replacement. They Installed a new windshield onto my car and within two months, without any rock ships or damage, it cracked in half during the cold. It was clearly defective or improperly installed, as windshields don’t crack on their own. They refused to own up to the damage or warranty their work, just making excuses for how they installed it properly. I’ve owned a lot of vehicles and have had prior replacements by the dealership on other cars- and I’ve never had a windshield spontaneously crack in half, nevermind cracking from the installed edge. It was obvious installed too tight, or the windshield was defective.

Avoid utilizing companies that refuse to take responsibility for their work. It’s a bad sign for more complex jobs if they can’t even install a window.

I want to thank the management and staff at Modern for being extremely professional on handling my repair on my SRT.
when I spoke to the adjuster they tried to talk me out of going to Modern stating that they never finish their work on time and that their will be additional costs that I will be responsible for. It was far from the Truth. Not only did they deliver my vehicle early but when Modern was finished with my vehicle, it was back to its original condition as if it just came off the assembly line.

As well, they fought on my behalf to make sure the repair was done properly.

I did learn something new having gone through this process for the first time in 40 years. I learned that i can take my vehicle anywhere I want for the repair, the insurance company cant deny a vendor. They can try and talk you into going to one of their preferred shops just to save themselves money which will come at a cost (the vehicle wont be repaired properly).
