Reviews of Western Built Windows and Doors in Edmonton

I cannot say enough bad things about this company and it’s nightmare owner Vinh Ho. Do not trust this man to work in your home. I wish I could give him a -5 review on here.

First off he will tell you that he can get your windows installed faster than any other company. This is because he doesn’t measure properly and most likely has a stock pile of windows at his shop that he guesses will fit for your window space. He was able to measure and “install” our windows within 2 weeks…all other companies will take at least 6 weeks to have the windows built properly.

Vinh “installed” 3 basement windows for me after we had flooding damage to 2 of them. We were better off keeping our damaged ones after the terrible job he did. The windows do not fit…they stick out 2 inches from our foundation. He did not even seal the bottom frame of the window…how do you not seal all four sides of a window…especially after flooding. He then tried to tell us that the flood came from the top of the window…I guess that’s how he thinks gravity works?!
He did not take out the interior window frame…another reason why the windows stick out 2 inches from the foundation.

He did such a poor job, we had 4 other window companies come out to assess his work. Quotes from the other window companies are “absolute robbery”….”one of the worst jobs I’ve ever seen”…”you should get your money back”…
We also had a home inspector come to assess them and told us that these windows are NOT up to code.
When confronting Vinh about this he suggested spraying the windows with the garden hose to see if they leak, and then yelled at my husband and I for 10 minutes defending his work.
He also broke the stucco beside the window frame, filled it with super glue and told us it was our fault and we had to pay for a concrete company to come fix his mistake!

This man is a NIGHTMARE to deal with, do not hire him for any window replacements
