By far the WORST experience I have ever dealt with in getting a vehicle fixed. Not only is the manager TED very rude and unprofessional, but the work they did on my car is absolutely pathetic. My insurance company (Coachman) made me go to this Carstar location, despite me asking if I could go to a mechanic that I knew. I was told to bring in my Mercedes GLK Diesel on a Monday to be evaluated, and upon arriving they let me know they would actually be taking my car that day to begin the fixing. This wasn't an issue for me, and I asked that they call me before any fixing is done, just so I can approve the pricing and what is being done. After 4 days going by, with no contact we call Carstar to see if they have started the inspection, and what the cost will be. At this time they let me know that it hasn't even been looked at yet, and it will in a day or two. So my first concern is why did I drop my car off 4 days prior to this if they were backed up on inspections, or weren't planning on getting to it until the end of the week/beginning of the following week. My fiance then called back 2 days later to see if they were starting, and they said that they had. We were confused why they had not called us first to go over the pricing and fixes as they said they would. 2 weeks later, I hadn't heard anything so I called to get in touch. I was given excuses, spoken to very rudely, and was told that they were still waiting on a bunch of parts (and may I state, that once I received the final bill, it showed that only ONE part was actually ordered in from Mercedes that they were waiting on). Fast forward to now being over a month. I call once again as no one has updated me on anything, and get more excuses that they are still waiting on parts? After finally waiting close to 6 weeks to simply get the front bumper/lights, and back bumper chips/scuffs fixed up, the day I go to pick the car up (and it was Ted calling me to ensure it was ready), when I arrive there after taking time to leave work early and drive there - it was clear they didn't even COMPLETE the back bumper as there were still visible scratches, paint chips, and even a new paint chip that was not there before. When asked if this could be fixed, I was told that their paint shop was down and that is why it was left like that. How on earth can you be proud, or be okay to call a client to tell them the car is fixed and ready when it clearly was not?! Especially if this is being handled through insurance?! This is absolutely unacceptable, especially given the 6 week process of a car that was still in good condition, and driveable. I have been T-Boned before, and my car only took 2 weeks to fix. Each time when I called to speak with the manager TED S, he was beyond rude, talked over me, and just seemed to give excuses instead of admitting to not handling this properly. Lastly, they wrote down my address wrong on my invoice, and on my warranty - so who knows if that will even be valid. So unhappy with the fixing on my car, as I now have to take it to another Carstar, get another rental car (for who knows how long) so that they can FIX again what was not done correctly. Worst worst shop ever, please if your insurance company tries to send you here ask for another Carstar, because you will end up as frustrated, and disappointed as I was.
