"Contest « Add a little more fun » | Metro" https://www.addalittle.caNow I know very well that I was 1 of 4 winners of the contest that closed on March 15/23. I still have my code # that I entered to win.
On Thurs. April 6/23 at 10:51 a.m. I received a phone call. The person who called me would not identify himself, where he was calling from or why he was calling me, despite my numerous questions to him about who he was.
He just kept asking my name and telling me he was not authorized to tell me anything unless I told him my name. Seemed like he was just playing games with me.
Because of the strange phone call, and the scams that are numerous to seniors, and I've had many, I hung up on that caller. That is the natural response when a caller refuses to give ANY identifying information, but knows who I am.
It was after hanging up and thinking about how odd the call was, that it occurred to
me that it was likely METRO calling me as a winner of the addalittle contest.
I am very disappointed that I would be overlooked as a winner, as a result.
I do not think it is fair at all.
Any winner should be notified by email. Then a winner knows who has contacted them and why.
As a senior, and as a person who is terminally ill, I would have been elated to be a winner. I don't usually enter contests. Not only would I have done so much for myself, but also for my local Humane Society with a gift card of such a large amount. I feel really cheated out of my win.
I do not not think a phone call that provides no information at all is any way to inform a winner of anything. And then to disqualify that winner.
Not fair at all!!!

Today September 8th, 2021 at 7pm I went shopping at the Eglington and Bayview store. I only had rolls of 10 cents to buy milk, eggs, and some cold cuts for my kids. I went to pay the 33 dollars with this legal tender at the cashier when the rude supervisor came up and told me I cannot pay with rolls of change. I wanted to beg but I was so embarrassed that I just said thank you and left without buying anything. If I had any other way of buying food I would. So disappointing because up until last year when I lost my job I was a good customer but now living on whatever I can scrap up it's unfortunate that Metro only caters to rich people. NEVER going to shop at Metro again. Not even a penny and I will tell my story to who ever I know so they don't shop at your supermarket again. I didn't go to change my change into bills. I went to buy food!

Got to meet Dave today at Bramalea city centre metro . What a pleasure it was. Very informative, wish I had more time to chat with him.
