So… I noticed on April 27, that my vehicle was making a funny noise (sounded like a belt). I was right around the corner to this shop, so I stopped in for them to have a look. I was told my water pump was going and I shouldn’t drive home. I agreed to them replacing my water pump, which was going to cost me $1000. Two days later, I picked up my truck and my battery light was on. I circled back, for them to tell me they didn’t know why. I drove my vehicle a few blocks and suddenly had every single dash light pop up and my truck died. Had my vehicle towed to Chevy, where I had a fried battery, alternator, and mega fuse. The total of the work done at Chevy was $2300.
I’m not saying these guys broke my vehicle, BUT I have never had a dash light come on EVER! The moment they touch it, my dash lights up like a Christmas tree, everything goes to hell, and the guy at Chevy tells me, my truck was jump started backward..
Just be aware friends. Just because somewhere is a “licensed” mechanic shop, does not mean they should be working in your vehicle.
