I picked up my brand new car on Thursday and I could not be happier. Lucia got me all set up with everything I needed to know about my new vehicle. She is very knowledgeable and very beautiful person. This is my 2nd car I bought from Lucia and I would recommend everyone to go see this amazing woman,I truly recommend Grimsby Hyundai to anyone! I recently ordered a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Ultimate from this dealership. I worked with an employee named David. He offered me $1000 incentive to get my business an hour and a half from where I live and purchase with them. I took this opportunity and the experience was great, until it wasn’t. I waited 8 weeks for my vehicle to arrive and 24 hours before picking it up they said they made a mistake and the price increased by $1850. I spoke to David who spoke to management. No one called, so I ended up calling and speaking with Frank. He heard me explain the mistake that was made but did not offer any solutions. He said he would talk to the general sales manager and when he called back, again, nothing they can do. They identified that they were accountable for the mistake but could not offer any solutions other than pay the difference or walk away with no vehicle. I work in manufacturing and if my company ever made an error, the client would never be responsible and would have to eat the cost. I had already changed my insurance and purchased winter tires for this car. They did not care and did not offer anything to make a gesture of remorse. The funny thing is, the original contract was signed by not only David, but Frank himself who said that the error could have never been found until the car came in. When I was waiting on hold to resolve this issue, the recording boasts about the transparency and integrity of this dealership - ironic. I had previously recommended this dealership to friends and family; I was wrong. Do not go to this dealership because you may think you are getting a “great deal” only for it to be stripped away 24 hours before pick up and then essentially told we don’t really care if you buy from us and you can walk away.
