My 14-year-old daughter went to this salon to get her nails done. Before I left her there, I made it clear that her nails shouldn't be too long. By making it clear I told the mail employee this. I asked them how long the service is going to last and if it would be alright for me to leave for 15-20 minutes. He reassured me that would be fine. I had some errands to run, so I left my daughter with money for the service. When I came back, I saw that her nails were really long. I voiced my opinion immediately. They insisted she wanted them that way. I get it, she's a teenager, and she might want things different from what her parents want. But at the same time, if she went in there and asked to do something risky, like vaping, would they just go along with it, ignoring what her parents say? I called them up after we got home to ask why they listened to a teenager over a parent. But all they kept saying was, "She picked them, she picked them," in broken English. I know I messed up by leaving her there alone, but a few days later, one of her nails broke badly. I didn't want her to get an infection, so we went back to ask them to fix it. They did, and we left. Then, a few days later, another nail broke, but it wasn't as bad, so I managed to remove it at home. But then, after 7 or 10 days, another one broke really badly. I had to take her back in. At that point, I just told them to take all the fake nails off. And then, they charged me $22 just to remove them! We originally paid $80 or $85, I'd have to check the receipt. But adding on another $22 after the whole ordeal that didn't sit right with me. Before handing over the $22, I asked them to explain why I had to pay that much. My daughter's nails kept breaking, so we kept coming back because we didn't have a choice. After I questioned the $22 charge, a younger employee, maybe their daughter, told me I didn't have to pay. I thanked them and left. But as I was leaving, I heard the employee who removed the nails yelling in their language. When I got to my car, they came over to my car and blocked me in, asking for the money. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I went back and paid the $22. But I told them I'd be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. I'm really unhappy with the service we got.
