Reviews of Take 5 Oil Change in Langley

USE THIS PLACE WITH CAUTION!! I am IRATE and would NOT even give this place 1 star if given the option! I have used this place 3 times now. First time I took my Honda Fit in for an oil change and I thought they did a fine job however I just trusted their inspection when they checked off the boxes regarding my tire pressure, windshield fluid etc. The second time I took my KIA Soul in for the same thing because I was leaving the next morning to head out of province. On the receipt it said that they topped off my windshield fluid, checked my tire pressure etc. The funny thing is I had to buy and fill up my windshield fluid by the time I got to Cobourg (less than an hours drive away). When I got to my destination I had a flat tire. It was explained to me that there was no hole in the tire and that it was due to low tire pressure. Now im in a different province trying to find new tires as I trusted they did this the night before. I never wrote a bad review but just said I would never go back. This is where it gets even worse!! My husband bought a new truck last week and just finished having our mechanic give it a thorough look over. Given that it was new to us we thought we would give it a fresh oil change since we didn't know exactly when the last owner had it done. My husband suggested going to this place. I was adamant on NOT going back but he won. He told me he would inform them what had happened thinking if he did they would be sure to NOT let it happen again but was my husband ever WRONG!!! I WATCHED as they did the tire pressure this time but couldn't see if they topped up the windshield fluid because (hood was up but this was minor). We thought all was well so we pay, leave and get a couple of blocks down the road when I read at the bottom of our receipt. It STATED that THE MOTOR WAS KNOCKING BEFORE ENTERING THE BAY!!!! Now, this is a complete LIE if I ever heard one!!!! We know what knocking sounds like in a motor and I can assure you our mechanic would also! My husband turns around and goes right back to the shop and asks for an explanation on the knocking sound they supposedly heard and was told to bring it back into the bay so they could show us. Now this is where the 'miracle' happened! The knocking in the motor MIRACULOUSLY had disappeared!!! Who knew a motor could fix itself just like that!!?? Now you would think this company would be making sure they did an extra good job this time knowing our last experience. I am VERY concerned how many other people they have done this to or will be doing this to...especially to those who don't know any better. And for those that don't know any better, they wrote that down on our receipt and in their system so if something did happen due to their ignorance they wouldn't be liable because it was documented. DO NOT TRUST THEM (Lindsay location is the only one I have experience with) and if you do still decide to go after reading my review I SUGGEST YOU WATCH THEM LIKE HAWKS AND PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO YOUR RECEIPT!!!!!
