*** DON'T BUY THE PROTEX FOR YOUR CAR** Protex is a type of film that is supposed to protect your bumper and the bottom part of the sides of your car. Mine started to peel off literally 2 days after buying the car; 2 weeks after it got really worse. The affected part was the inner part adjacent to the left front tire; just in the joint between the protex and the steel of the car. I got in touch with porsche Lauzon, and I had to go twice for the same issue. The first time they did not book the protex repair. Then they gave me another appointment for nothing: they did not fix it. The advisor told me they thought that the protex detached because of an impact, which does not make sense because of location and also because the car is otherwise intact (the metal and the painting are intact). It's an area of two inches. Even in the event that it happened and I never noticed it (example someone did it in a public place parking with a kart or a bike) probably it was a very mild sheering force to tear it. The protex is something that is meant to protect, which means the protex is in any way a very poor quality material. It happened 2 days after installation literally! Where is the warranty for such a product? Now 4 months after the fore part of the bumper is also detaching (triangular shape)! See the pictures below.I strongly encourage you not to buy the protex. They will try to sell it to you when you buy your car but is not worth your money. If it peels off they won't replace it and your nice car will have that horrible spot. They will try to charge you again to replace it. Who wants to replace something that last between 2 days and 2 weeks and tears by itself or with a small touch? Specially when the only cheap thing is the quality! They also have no respect whatsoever for your time; I am very busy and they made me go back twice to Laval to say that in the end that they won't replace it. Why they didn't tell me that the first visit? That was really unprofessional from the advisor. Bottom line, don't buy the protex, value your money and time because they won't do it for you.
