Their tile person didn't disclose hidden cost which amounted to 800 dollars. Once i gave them 1 star they declined the job to fix their mess.

I'd rate it zero if I can. It's dishonest to do business this way. The company was subcontracted by another company that works for us. Their job is to install tiles. And now the work is left half done and being ignored even after I sent in complain emails and I have to find a new company to finish their undone business at my own cost. They sent in this tile person to do the job. The job was scheduled and billed only for one day. Not only did the tile person came in a bit late but also mid way of his job, he recommended us to switch tiles to match similar pattern (this is fine). But what I didn't know is that those tiles will be shattered rendering them useless and also there is additional unseen unmentioned labor fee adding up to be about $800. I was NEVER disclosed about that extra charge at the time he torn down the half installed tiles on the side (we previously had the dry wall person came in many times there were no additional charge at all). If I was told there is this additional charge, I definitely would have him finish right away. Also at the time he torn down the side tiles, there were two sides undone. I am not sure how he was gonna finish that in one day or maybe that's a strategy that he wants to break it down to two days so he can profit more. But the tile person at that point definitely knows what is coming, because the tile person bill them 2nd day immediately for the extra labor cost. We were surprised that all about floor then asked us to pay a deposit before they can send in the tile person again. They later reduce to $600 or whatever as if this is some form of discount. Then I followed up with an email to complain and the email ignored. If you knew there would be big charges coming but you never bother to mention to us, what kind of business practice is this?
