Reviews of Camp Good Dog in Maple Ridge

I found this place online and was thrilled to see it had a outdoor space my dog could enjoy.
We arrived for our initial meeting and as we approached the cage building - there was an anxious roar of loud dogs barking uncontrolled.
No staff to meet us at our appointment time.
When they did arrive they didn’t know anything about the arrangement to be shown the space and meet to see if my dog was a good fit.
I should have ran after this first red flag.

I began to enter what seemed like an old
Portable with cages, looked back at my gentle and calm dog and noticed his body language had immediately changed and he looked triggered to go in there. I forced him in so we could look around.
It was awful. Disgusting. Barely kept up. Too many dogs kept in cages too small to be comfortable. Was shown the semi private and the private rooms and the roar of the room left no confidence that my dogs stay would allow for rest and would let them relax when they needing space from others - it looked like a puppy mill I saw growing up in Ontario.
We were guided outside - the outdoor space deserved the only star I’ll give this place.
But then I was informed that the dogs go outside for two walks a day and that’s it.

The entire time we were there my dogs energy completely changed - he was telling and showing me he was not comfortable there.
We politely thanked the staff for their time and said we’d follow up.
We got to the car and my 100lb dog who isn’t an anxious dog, tried to nervously climb into my lap in the drivers seat and I realized that if I were to leave him there during my weeks vacation - he wouldn’t be the same when I come to pick him up.
No dog deserves to be left in a place like this.

Camp Good Dog reviews must be written by the owners friends or by people who bought into their puppy mill business.

Any photos you see of this place of happy dogs are the owners. The boarded dogs don’t experience this place the way you see it online.
This is not the place to leave your best friend if you truly love them.
