I put a US check into my family trust ( like I have to for the rules of the Federal Government ) and tried to transfer it back into my regular US account. Scotiabank disallowed it, saying I should have a US Family trust. This was a once in a lifetime event, as it was all the US funds I had. It might be time to find another bank after 40 years with Scotiabank.
