Rite Tire: A Chronicle of Negligence and Unprofessionalism

I urge potential customers to think twice before trusting their vehicles to Rite Tire. In my experience, this establishment has demonstrated a gross lack of communication, professionalism, and honesty.

I left my car at Rite Tire for several months for what should have been a simple repair. The communication throughout this process was woefully inadequate. I made daily calls, often without receiving any answer. When I did manage to connect, I was routinely informed that they were unable to fix the issue.

After an excruciatingly long wait, they claimed to have identified the problem but required a part which they needed to order. This, I was told, would take three weeks. Patience quickly turned into frustration when, after two months, they claimed the part had not arrived. On querying for details such as a tracking number or any order details, they were unable to provide any, leading me to suspect that the part was never ordered in the first place.

Rite Tire's unethical practices extended beyond the repair ordeal. I purchased tires from them at a higher price than online alternatives, only to discover later that the tires were manufactured in 2020, making them three years old at the time of purchase. Selling three-year-old tires as new is irresponsible given that tires are generally recommended to be replaced every six years. Further, after installation, I found my tires were leaking, requiring additional repairs.

Adding to this litany of frustrations, my car consistently reeked of cigarette smoke after being returned from their facility. It's apparent to me that respect for customer property is not a priority at Rite Tire.

Do not be swayed by the positive reviews on this page, many of which, I suspect, are from friends or family of the staff. I regretfully made the mistake of entrusting my car to Rite Tire. The mechanics showed incompetence in handling anything beyond the most basic tasks and demonstrated a clear intent to extort customers.

Please consider my experience and protect yourself from a similar ordeal. Unless you seek basic services like tire changes, I would highly advise seeking an alternative and more reputable establishment.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a mechanic shop. When the mechanic installed defective shocks in my car The owner (Messum) gave me the run around for months about replacing them. After weeks of waiting and recovering from multiple life saving surgeries (which he was fully aware of) I located a place that sold the shocks for my Mercedes at a decent price. It not only took the owner months (3 months) to FINALLY go pick them up (I couldn’t or I would’ve had to pay full price again for the shocks as I do not have 2 vehicles so that I could have him remove the shocks out of my car and then take them back to the auto parts store to pick up the new shocks again) Meesum agreed to send someone to pick them up. Subsequently, He wouldn’t answer my calls or texts, nor that of my sister (who was dealing mostly with him as I was recovering from my surgeries and he was a great stress factor for me) we would resort to popping in his shop to try and find him. He would set up a date and time to “fix” the car on multiple occasion with either my sister or myself then we would never hear from him again. The ONLY time he would answer our phone calls was when we called private. Even then he would reprimand my sister never to call him private using the excuse that he thought it was his “mother” and that “something was wrong” After texting him about my brakes still squeaking (I paid for brakes to be replace along with the shocks among other things) he called me back irate that I am never to text him anymore and that he’s apparently already told me before to never text him?! He also claims that brakes squeak even when replaced with NEW brake pads and rotors. I’ve NEVER had mine squeak once replaced in ANY vehicle I’ve ever owned. After having paid over 1,400 I wasn’t about to go elsewhere and pay again for a job Messum should’ve had done. It was the ONLY reason I put up with his unprofessional and unethical behavior, my health was still precarious and I was still not fully recovered to search around for another mechanic shop. I believe he took my money and didn’t replace the parts he was suppose to have replaced! He even wanted to charge me again for replacing the defective shocks his mechanic installed in the first place AFTER telling my sister that he wouldn’t charge me twice. That “He’ll take care of it,” I had already paid him $240 to install them the first time! He never gave me or my sister a receipt for everything he claimed to have done or was suppose to have done on my car (brakes, rotors, axle, ball joints and shocks) I asked multiple times and I still haven’t received one. I believe if I were a man he wouldn’t have had the audacity to speak so condescending and rude to me and he definitely wouldn’t have ripped me off with claiming to have done repairs on my car when it still has the SAME issues it had BEFORE he “fixed” it. I truly believe He most definitely wouldn’t have given me the run around for months with my car. I cannot stress enough that you enter his shop truly at your own risk! Especially if you’re a woman!
