Reviews of Elim Counselling Service, Christian Counselling in Ottawa

I participated in twelve months of relationship counselling (March 2022 - February 2023) and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience and a complete waste of time and money. Christian counselling is supposed to be guided and governed by Biblical principals, yet not once over the course of a year did Michael open a Bible or refer to Scripture. Not once. I expressed my concern on three different occasions but he continued to provide only secular/worldly "counsel" which naturally made it impossible to properly address the relationship issues being discussed. To be frank, there was absolutely nothing Christian/Biblical about his practice. At the conclusion of what turned out to be our final session I again expressed my frustration at the complete absence of Biblical wisdom and instruction during our sessions and his only response was "This isn't a Bible study". So much for 2 Timothy 3:16 I guess.
I've never left a review before but I felt compelled to this time in order to save others from wasting their valuable time and money on someone who misrepresents himself as offering Christian counselling when in fact it is not.
