Inconsiderate of public safety asking patient to come to the appointment even when they are sick and infectious to others if not this health center will penalize you for being sick and calling to cancel the appointment 23 hours ahead and not 24!!
I had an appointment for massage therapy on December 15 at 8:30
am. I called at 9:30 am on Dec 14 to cancel my appointment because I am quite sick and I have respiratory symptoms, vomiting, and other symptoms.First response of the receptionist was we will charge you for cancellation because it is a cancellation less than 24 hours meaning I called 23 hours before, what a joke. When I mentioned that I might have COVId her reply was put a mask and come !what ignorance. I asked to speak to he manager Sarah who was not better and she went and charged my credit card. When I said I will report them to public health Ottawa ( who advise people to stay home to minimize the spread of germs. The manager response was “we are private business and public health has no authority on us”
You might want to think twice about your health safety before booking an appointment. Don’t forget not to fall sick and cancel because you will get penalized because this center profit is more important than your health.
