RUDEST receptionist I’ve ever encountered.

Was informed that Dr. Comerford is retiring and will NOT be informing his patients. What?!

I told the receptionist that we’ve been waiting over a year to see the doctor in person due to Covid. Her response was so rude along the lines of “Well too bad that’s not my problem.”

I told her to inform the patients that they will not have an immunologist anymore. Another rude retort.

I hung up.

Called back immediately to ask that my daughter me removed from Dr. Comerford’s patient list so he doesn’t get paid for a patient he doesn’t see and will never see again. Because that’s how it works in Ontario. If you’re on a doctor’s patient list with a file, they get paid for you. Not for the service they provide you but for how many patients they have on file.

Ask to be taken off a doctor’s service if you don’t intend to see them again. They will continue to get paid as your doctor as long as you’re in their system.
