Had a terrible experience today with this company.
I was experiencing the well known capacitor (Pink dots on screen and slow power up) issue with my Samsung TV and I called Samsung directly and they set up a free warranty repair even though this TV is over 4 years old. Kudos Samsung!
The bad part was when Gatzeys showed up, over 3 hours late I might add, to supposedly do the capacitor repair, the serviceman plugs in the TV and sees the problem I was experiencing and proceeds to tell me that he now has to take my TV away to repair the capacitors but also some "LVDS" cable which would cost me $75 for the service call and who knows what for these other fake repairs. I asked the repairman to leave after his several suggestions that we should "load up" my TV in his truck so he could take it away.
I went online and did some research on this very common problem, since I was no longer going to recieve a "free" repair, and I found out how easy it was to repair this problem. All I had to do was replace 3 small capacitors that had overheated. It took maybe an hour to complete since I had never had my TV apart before. I powered up the TV and it totally fixed the issues I was having. There was no problem with any cables. What a rip-off. I missed a day's pay to stay home for this. I feel sorry for the other customers that this company has misled and any future ones. Stay away, stay very far away from them. Maybe this will help someone.
