Dropped off a snow tire here to the other week to have it checked for slow leak. (I looked it over closely myself as i do my own seasonal tire changes and saw no likely cause) my son picked it up for me a few days later. When I went to move it in the garage I noticed the back(inside) of it had serious gouges in several places along the rim. The steel belts were even showing. I brought it back and one employee (senior guy I think) said thats not good leave it with me and I'll talk to... (forgot who he said). He also mentioned he had two new staff working. (A help wanted sign was posted outside)When i returned they denied any responsibility. I took it to a couple of reputable tire shops in town to show and ask questions. The response was it could have only been done by carelessness. Maybe even having tire on upside on the machine. The Kicker is they charged me for initial repair and didnt warn my son or myself that the tire is dangerous to even use. Its not so much I am out a $200+ tire. (Only the third season) its the fact they did not own their mistake and charged me for a potential dangerous tire . I'm bringing the tire to Toronto for more study. Stay tuned.
