Reviews of Voyages Caleche Inc. in Pointe-Claire

I would have given no stars on this review but then I could not post one. We contacted Paul Sterbank from voyages Caleche to help us with an upcoming trip . We had never booked airfare for this destination and wanted to use a local business to do so . He advised us to wait a few months to book and we took his advice . Once the time came we contacted him to see if he wanted to book the tickets at indeed a better price .We offered to book them ourselves but he said"no I'll take care of it " . He then sent us the confirmation email from Air Canada with the ticket details . We asked him if we could meet with him at his office to provide a CC number to pay . He said that he was "up North" and would contact us upon his return . We subsequently continued to reach out to him to no avail on the status of the tickets . We could see the tickets on our Air Canada App initially but then they disappeared . We texted and called him several times just to get information . He finally called back to say that he did not confirm the tickets and that the price had increased . He said he would meet with his air Canada representative to reinstate the tickets at the original price and get back to us . We waited again almost one week and tried to get in touch with him for ANY information . He did not respond to any of our texts ,emails or phone calls. We tried every which way to get in contact with him for an explanation or any type of info. We even contacted his sister Tanya Anderson ( a co-owner of the business ) and again she said she was away from the office and could not access our file . We ultimately gave up and booked the ticket on our own at a higher price and even had a non direct flight back to keep the cost at a reasonable level . We originally had direct flights return. We have yet to hear from them . I am so beyond disappointed in their service and professionalism. We tried to help out a local business and people we "thought " we knew and they let us down . How can anyone stay in business especially the travel agency business these days with that kind of behaviour .
