Reviews of Stein Corp in Saskatoon

In 2021 my husband and I purchased a new infill home in City Park that was developed by Decora Homes. The plumbing and heating was installed by Stein.

While we have enjoyed the home so far, we have run into repeated heating and cooling issues with Stein. As an important note, the heating and cooling appliances remain under the home and manufacturers warranty, and all of the support and troubleshooting so far has been handled by Stein.

We initially had issues with our AC unit failing to adequately cool our home. It took a month or two of back and forth but the AC unit was ultimately fixed.

The main issue and biggest frustration currently is with our tankless water heater. It is spontaneously losing pressure and shutting off leaving us without hot water or heat. This issue has persisted for 1.5 years now with no resolution still and we find ourselves losing patience with the process.

The customer service team typically dispatches a plumber but most times the response to our calls takes too long or doesn’t occur at all. There has been countless visits over the year investigating the issue.

Not having reliable heat and hot water is completely unacceptable. This is especially true in an SK winter. My husband and I travel out of town often with our son to visit family and we cannot afford to have our house freeze while we’re away during the winter.

Overall, we don’t feel like highly valued customers and after a year of back and forth we still feel like we’re left out in the cold.
