Reviews of Thai Restaurant in Scarborough

On Saturday, September 6, 2014 approximately 5:35pm, I went to buy dinner for my family at Thai Restaurant located at 2480 Eglinton Avenue East, Scarborough. I ordered "Poddu Koththu" & "Fish bun" from service staff named Thusha for the price of $6.75. I was informed no receipt and only cash available at the time of my purchase. I accepted the food packed in white take out container and returned home.

Upon arrival, I unpacked the food at the dinning table and placed on plates while still hot. As I was about to eat, I felt a stink smell from the food as it was gone badly. Then my hubby came, inspected the food and felt the same way. With suspicion in mind, I contacted the store for further information in regards to the meal. Thusha, who attended the phone, did not fully pay attention to what I had to say and simply said "The food is fresh and we did not receive any complaints so far, we don't know", then she immediately hung up the phone.

After disappointment, I re-packed the food and went the store. Thusha accepted the food and contacted cooking staff. A few minutes after, a male who appeared to be the owner of the store came to the front. He first looked at me very disrespectfully and took the food to the kitchen area of the store. Moments later, he agitatedly came back to the front with the food in hand and said "Food is great, what is your problem?" Before I say a single word, he called Thusha and other guests and made them eat in front of me. The whole time he stared, intimidated and humiliated me in front of everyone at the store.

Terribly disappointed. Avoid if you can or check the food before you take home. You never want to know how I felt that day.
