Reviews of Artistic Impressions Tattooing & Body Piercing in St. Catharines

I had a short consultation with M***** at the St. Catharines location before making an appointment to be tattooed by him; I put down a $20 deposit as requested. When I arrived for my appointment two days later I was told by the same man who marked down my appointment the last time I was there that M***** had not shown up for work and that they had already had to cancel two other appointments. Another man, the piercer, was also at the counter. I was told by them that they were unable to get in touch with M***** by any means, and was given a whole slew of excuses for M***** not coming in to work, i.e., he has trouble sleeping, he has a heart condition, it's only happened once before, they don't know anything so they don't know whether to be worried or mad. My problem isn't so much that M***** didn't show up to work, but that two other people had already been cancelled on, but no one thought to give me a call to tell me that my appointment was in serious jeopardy of not being kept. Make up an excuse. Lie. Tell me he's sick. Do whatever you need to do, but don't let me drive to your business and pay for parking without even trying to get into contact with me. Call me, tell me what's up, and let me decide whether or not I want to waste my time and money getting to a place that will turn me right back around and send me home. The appointment man did ask if I'd like reschedule, but the dates and times were not good for me. I booked this week because I am on vacation and have plenty of free time with nothing else to schedule around. If I didn't have a gift certificate for Artistic Impressions, I'd be tempted to be done with the whole company. That being said, this is a poor review of an individual (three individuals, I suppose), not of the company itself. I know plenty of people who have had nothing but good experiences with Artistic Impressions. It's the place people around here grow up knowing as where you go to get tattooed and pierced. If you're getting tattooed at Artistic Impressions, I'd avoid M****.
