I had scheduled a regular maintenance and inspection for my furnace, but the experience I encountered has left me deeply disappointed and concerned. When Claude arrived at my residence around noon on November 22, 2022, the furnace was functioning adequately. However, after spending an excessive amount of time on the maintenance process, he informed me around 5pm that the furnace's motor was malfunctioning and needed either a replacement or an entire system replacement. Moreover, to my dismay, the furnace was left in a non-operational state.
Given the unexpected turn of events, I decided to seek a second opinion from another company. To my relief, their technician promptly identified the issue within 30 minutes. Shockingly, it was discovered that Claude had dismantled the blower during his maintenance work and, upon reassembling it, tightened the screws excessively. As a result, the circulation fan became locked, rendering the furnace inoperable.
This level of incompetence and negligence is completely unacceptable. Not only did Claude misdiagnose the problem, but he also mishandled the equipment, causing further damage and inconvenience. Consequently, I have terminated my Protection Plan with their company, as I can no longer trust the expertise and professionalism of their technicians.
