Reviews of Celtic Creatures Veterinary Clinic Ltd in Sydney

Wasn't overly impressed with our visit. We are from out of town and needed our dog to be seen as she developed a bad wobble out of no where. We were thankful they were able to fit our dog in, but we felt the quality of the checkup wasn't nearly worth the 520.00 dollars. We asked them to check her b12 levels, check inside her ears for infection, and also to look at a lump on her side. They did their "exam" and didn't check her ears, did a blood test that we found out after doesn't cover b12 levels, and didn't bother checking the lump on her side. It was an extra 70.00 just to have her seen as she isn't a registered patient. Very expensive and no answers. They wanted to do an MRI but hadn't ruled out any of the other possibilities before suggesting the most expensive route. There was zero after care instructions and I was told to "read the bottle". I had to call back to ask if they had already given her meds for the day. We were happy to see that they sent us an email thinking it was them checking in on our still wobbly dog, turns out it was just an automated email telling us to download their app- cool, thanks...
Maybe we are just very lucky with our vet at home who genuinely cares about the well being of our dog and will do their very best to rule anything out during their exam before diving into expensive procedures. Again, very thankful to have gotten her seen on such short notice as that seems to be a huge issue here on the island, but we sure felt taken advantage of and not heard when it came to suggestions about what may be causing her to be so off balance. It's a darn shame they make it so difficult for the average income family to care for their furry loved ones.
