Reviews of Narvi's Truck & Auto Service in Thunder Bay

My husband Jeremy and I are new to the Thunder Bay area. We recently purchased a second hand truck in TBay from a local and it was to come safetied (from another local shop or so we thought. First The battery kept dying on it which didnt make sense since was a large heavy duty battery it was sold with---WE CALLED TWO OTHER MECHANICS through google and both said they were booking into the next week. NARVIS--AND THAT WONDERFUL FRONT DESK LENA-- got us an appointment with your shop the next day at 8 am-
On the way to the shop, our brake line also broke. THANK GOD again for perfect timing!! After Darrell asking us how we would be getting home since vehicle was to originally stay over night possibly, they quickly squeezed us in when we explained it was our only vehicle and that we lived out in Kam. The alternative was a $150 cab ride each way.-so a bill that would have been technically starting at 300 bills-------Fortunately and gratefully They were professional and yet VERY REAL at the same time. They understood our problem and were extremely compassionate-----A RARE THING TO FIND THESE DAYS IN BUSINESS. They explained everything it needed---They brought us back to show us that -the battery it contained was a battery for a little honda car not a truck and it was OBVIOUSLY NOT the battery it was sold with. It also needed a new brake line hose,-----BUT it also needed soooo much more---The mechanics brought to our attention that needed two ball joints and both control arms replaced----all damage that is impossible on only 2000 km it has been driven since purchased in late Oct. They made us feel right at home--- They were all very friendly and very attentive. Darrell was extremely knowledgeable, Lena was not only doing her job but also scheduling plane tickets for truckers stuck in Tbay with their vehicle for 4 days who just wanted to go home---She served coffee with a smile, even asked us if we needed a ride to get something to eat when her lunch was coming up------OVER AND ABOVE WITH THIS PLACE!!! The staff get along wonderfully and it shows. YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE NOW. THANKS SO MUCH for restoring our faith in humanity--YOU GUYS ROCK signed THE OFFGRID COUPLE forever grateful ----PS---Now I can go SAFELY in our vehicle to speak to the mechanic shop who did the original safety. That shop is CRS AUTO CENTER. From what I have seen so far they are no NARVIS BUT i ALWAYS GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO do the right thing first----Lets hope they do the right thing or a trip to the MTO it is I guess. 🙂 THANKS AGAIN NARVIS!!!!
