Absolutely terrible experience with First National. Had my mortgage with them for 5 years, ended up selling my house so I proactively paid off my mortgage on anniversary date for renew as I found a better rate for my new home with another lender. My mortgage has been paid out in full since April 8 2022 and First National has still not filed the mortgage discharge papers to clear my house for the sale. Numerous calls and email from myself, lawyer and mortgage broker and First National will not do anything to discharge the mortgage and expedite the process. They are not putting my sale at risk of falling through and costing me a million plus.
