Reviews of King West Village Cleaners in Toronto

Dropped off two jackets and two jeans.
The jackets in total cost 2500$.
I dropped off my $1300 Rudsak jacket which has fur and a belt attached to it. (See pictures attached)
I took the jacket with the belt attached as I would never take it off and it also needed to be washed.
Today I picked up my jacket and noticed there was no belt attached to it. I let the owner know that my belt was missing. First he couldn't find my receipt and then he started to look f9r the belt and couldnt find it so hr decided to tell me there was no belt and when they received it they didn't get it with a belt. This is not true as I said before I would never take the belt off , it is part of the jacket.
I proceeded to nicely tell him that it was part of it and that I didn't bring it with. He kept talking over me and telling me no no no I didn't bring it.
I started to get annoyed as I knew I had taken the belt to him and he was not taking responsibility for losing it and kept telling me he would call me if he found it so I kept asking him what are you going to do if you can't find it ? He told me to not make a scene infront of other customers ( i was just asking him to take accountability) so I said I am not making a scene I am asking you what you're going to do. Your customer should know that you don't take responsibility for losing people's stuff.
He then said SINCE YOURE GONNA BE LIKE THAT NOW THERE WAS DEFINITELY NO BELT AND WERE DONE HERE.
So now we're showing our true colors.
He then called my cellphone to tell me he didn't have my belt and I said I wanted a refund as I had just spent 200$ there and part of my jacket was missing and my other jacket still had stains on it. I asked him for 100$ back not even the full thing and he still refused saying he would give me 60$ not even what I paid for my jacket to get "fixed" so after me literally begging for some freaking compassion and understanding he gave me back 85$ and once again repeated WERE DONE HERE after I was trying to thank him and explain to him why I was upset.

I have never encountered this kind of behavior in adults. This is child behavior.
Take accountability for your actions!!!!
You are a business that deals with peoples items daily and cant keep track of them.
Get a freaking hold of yourself and pleae take a customer sevice course.
Disgusting behaviour.

How this business has so many 5 star reviews I don't understand.

These people are THIEVES. I've never written a bad review but if you like having your clothes returned pick another dry cleaner. I've been coming here for a long time but recently they've "lost" several items in the last few months and I've heard similar things from friends. When confronted about it the awful owner acted as if they ever existed and told me to "take him to small claims court and f#ck off". I don't know what happened but I would stay away going forward.
