Reviews of Swansea Tennis Club in Toronto

It’s my first year being on the Swansea Tennis Club and I would not recommend it.
I find the staff to be unorganized and irresponsible. In today’s round robins (doubles game), there were 2 ladies that did not want to play with one specific player that was a bit older and was not able to move as quickly. Although this was the round robins and by signing up for it, you can expect to play with different players, the staff member present did not discourage that behaviour.
To make it easy for himself, he paired me up for the 1st game with that specific player because I did not complain and was nice about it. Since this was the round robins, usually the players are switched up every 30 minutes, so I did not mind, however I was paired up with that specific player for game 2 and game 3, which was the final game. I brought it to the staff members attention that I had played 2 games with that individual already and we should be switched up for the final game, however he said he didn’t have anyone to pair up with that individual and would make it up to me another time. I got zero game time tonight as rallies with that individual were not possible and it really felt like I just wasted 1.5 hours. Staff members should discourage discriminating behaviour in the club and if there are players at the incorrect level, that is something staff and the league should be dealing with. This is not something that should be impacting other players as we all have paid the same price for the membership and expect fair treatment and fair game opportunities. This situation could have been managed better, as there were plenty of other players available to mix and match. I am very disappointed with this club.
