I was recently at a wedding ceremony officiated by Kevan from Designer Ceremonies. As part of the wedding ceremony, and in front of 100+ guests, he divulged one of the bride's most significant professional disappointments.

Kevan brought up a painful memory of private disappointment in a way that publicly humiliated the bride, during what should have been a moment of celebration. Wedding guests around me were visibly shocked at the inappropriateness of Kevan's comment.

Kevan brought up a painful memory of private disappointment in a way that publicly humiliated the bride during her wedding ceremony. Wedding guests around me were visibly shocked at the sheer inappropriateness. Multiple people mentioned afterwards how disrespectful his comment was.

Kevan meets with the couple prior to the wedding to discuss, in detail their individual histories as well as their journey as a couple. I would like to warn couples that ANY background information you tell Kevan during this meeting may be divulged, in detail, to all guests during the ceremony. Do not expect him to use discretion or common sense.

Brides, in particular, be careful about what you tell Kevan. He may use more respect and tact in regards to the groom’s history.
