Reviews of Cook Street Barbershop in Victoria

I came in on Saturday and the place wasn’t busy. The area was very clean to say the least. I came in, and was greeted as expected and sat comfortably. The barber asked me how I wanted my hair cut, and gladly gave him the details. The barber proceeds to disregard what was mentioned and provides his insight on how my hair would look better with a different style. This should have been the cue that I should have gotten off the seat and walk off the store, but decided to give it a chance. The whole haircut took 10 minutes and was given a ‘fade’ which was definitely not the case. I have glasses so it’s very tricky to tell the barber if they are cutting it too short but I definitely mentioned to not cut specific parts of my hair too short just within a few minutes of the cut. Overall, my experience was very disappointing. To charge $26 for this left me feeling sour.

The barber went above and beyond for perfection even with my face mask on. I will surely go there again. A short walk from save-on-food and very friendly staff.
