PLEASE READ MY WHOLE STORY - Terrible experience

I have a nice gold chain but was looking for something bigger and ended up at Charm at Lynden Park Mall in November. There were no chains the size I wanted in store and the sales clerk (M) told me he could get one made for me. I told him I wanted it bigger than the chain I had which was 34 g and told him I would like it to be around 100 g. The sales clerk told me that the chain would probably cost over $10,000 for that weight. He applied for the Flexi card to see how much credit I was approved for which was $9,000 or $9,500. The sales clerk made a phone call to see how much the chain would cost to make and what we would get for that price. I made a big deal about the clasp as I am very particular about having a heavy duty clasp on a big chain.

The sales clerk told us they could do a 75 g chain with a heavy duty clasp for the $9,000. He asked if I wanted the warranty for another $500 on top of that which I did not buy. I paid the taxes that day which was on top of the $9,000 and he told me the chain would be ready around Jan 18th 2024.

When I picked up the chain it didn't look that much bigger than my old one. I asked him how much it weighed and he had the paper with my info and said it was 75 g and he did not have a scale so I could not weigh it. The clasp was small and nothing like I wanted but the sales person (M) just kept talking about the swivel on the clasp that would prevent the chain from turning. There was no packaging or paperwork for the chain - just the chain!! I took the chain home and weighed it and it was 58 g. I called him right away and he told me that's what I paid for. I asked him about the heavy duty clasp I wanted in the beginning and he said because I didn't buy the "warranty" that there was nothing he could do unless we wanted to pay for a new clasp.

I have found a new jeweler in Mississauga that I bought a chain from a couple of weeks ago and gave the Charm chain to my wife. The chain constantly turns and she if forever fixing the chain so the swivel does not serve its purpose.

So my new jeweler had a 90 g chain with a heavy duty clasp for $5,400 with a lifetime warranty - No extra fees for that!!!! Lets remind you that mine was 58 g from Charm for $9,000 when I was told 75 g and I don't even want to talk about the warranty!!!

I ended up getting a beautiful 175g chain with a heavy duty clasp for the same price I paid for my 58g chain at Charm with the little clasp and no warranty. The sales clerk gave me a beautiful box for it and packaged it up very professionally even though I was wearing the chain.

DOES ANYBODY ELSE SEE A PROBLEM WITH MY STORY!!!!!!
DO NOT HAVE CHARM MAKE ANYTHING FOR YOU AND PLEASE SHOP AROUND.....
