Reviews of Leon's Furniture in Whitby

I bought the most expensive LG washer and dryer over $4k they were advertised showing them with pedestals (nowhere did it say they werent included until they edited their post after i called them out). I was shocked to receive my units without the pedestals so i called in to ask why they weren't delivered. Thats when i was told "oops someone made an advertising mistake!". If you look at all other washer/dryer combos it states pedistals are not included so it was reasonable to assume that these ones are included in the cost of the units. In Canada when you advertise, you have to live up to your listing or its fraudulent. This is why advertising agencies get the big dollars to make sure these things do not happen. Leons offered me $150 in credit and edited their ad. Clearly, they were in the wrong or would not have offered anything and edited their ad. But yet they still wouldn't live up to their end. So i called the BBB (Better Business Bureau). The BBB agrees with me and says, " Leons advertised with them and should include them regardless if it was a mistake or not. So i posted my initial review and was told by Sam (which isn't his name by the way more of Leons false representation) to email him direct, so i did. He replied and was very polite. I explained the situation and he said "he would see what he can do and give me a call in a day or so". The next day the store manager called me he was very rude, belligerent, and tried to intimidate me being a telephone tough guy. This guy went at me like i stole the Crown Jewels from England! Yelling, screaming, and threatening me. Showing me he should not be a man in any sort of role in control of a company or any sort of postition of power. He is definitely a man that needs an anger management course to learn how to control his rage. I am not one to take kindly to this type of treatment nor am I anyones punching bag so I hung up on him mid sentence while he was saying some belligerent junk. The conversation was absolutely appauling in all honesty, and i was shocked and deeply disturbed by his actions in general. I called their head office and let them know my experience with him and his actions and that i was misled by their advertising. she said "all she could do was the $150 that i said was unacceptable."
i replied with, " Icant agree to it"
This is when I called the BBB back and opened a case the BBB agrees with me and I am totally correct that the law in Canada is if a company advertises something with something else in the pictures and it is resonable to assume they are included like pedestals if it does not state otherwise. It is false advertising. Leons offered me a set for $598 or something saying they are normally $998 funny thing is they are advertised right now for $248/ pedestal with no tax. Thats a total of $496. So these guys actually tried to overchargee me or even scam me through the BBB process. I made sure to point that out in my reply with the picture of their ads showing the true cost.

So all in all i suggest doing business elsewhere as dealing with the unprofessional actions of Leons in this case has really been eye opening experence on them and how they feel about people who work hard and spend in their store. Its fine to milead and lie too because we aren't worth anything we're just a bunch of clowns in their circus.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a bed from them and it came in terrible shape. Never received an apology for that. The new bed came and still has some marks on it. Customer service at Whitby Leon’s was terrible. Will never shop with Leon’s again after this experience unfortunately

I stopped in at Leon's in Whitby couple weeks ago, I was trying to find the perfect couch and Color decor to matched my freshly painted living room and a sale rep by the name of JUPITER helped me accomplished my goal. Very pleasant young man with a desire to help personality. Thanks JUPITER you and your team are amazing👏👏🔥🔥❤️❤️
