Reviews of Care Innova Pharmacy in Winnipeg

If I could give lower than 1 star I would. I called just after 7pm (had to call half a dozen times before someone answered the phone), and was told a doctor would call me back immediately. That call never came. I called back multiple times asking where the doctor was, it was getting close to 9pm (their closing hour). I was told over and over the doctor would call me.

I desperately needed insulin. Ya know, to live? My pharmacy closed at 7pm. The one down the block closed at 10.

What ended up happening was I had to go pay $100 out of pocket for insulin over the counter. I have insurance!!! Because their doctor completely neglected to do their job. I don't care if 9pm is their end time, she should have called back the patients on the wait list and went over time. Every other job expects this? Why do doctors not think overtime exists? The secretary on the phone even tried to contact her multiple times and she refused to reply.

I am LIVID about this. Care Innova owes me $100 for this egregious negligence.

I wouldn't trust them with any health care needs. They don't care to do their jobs properly. What if it was a kid that needed antibiotics or something? The whole point of their service is to be a doctor when you cant just walk into a walk-in or leave the house. I am disabled mind you!!! I almost died from covid this year and I am severely immunocompromised, and going to the ER for 12+ hours for insulin would have been absurd. This is why house calls doctors exist, and they dropped the ball here. Hard.

Of course, a nurse practitioner called me today. Useless. I tried to tell her of this situation and how unbelievably upset I am and she tried to gaslight me and turn it around on me. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional.
