Took my car in early May to get pictures taken to be sent to MPI. A week later I called and asked if they had sent the pictures to MPI because MPI told me they did not receive the pictures yet. I was told “there was 10 people ahead of you I didn’t get a chance to send the pictures, but you should be booked in for early June to get your car fixed.”
Another week went by and MPI still didn’t get the pictures from Colormelt so I called again, I was told again “there was 10 people ahead of you I’m sending the pictures, you should be booked for end of July.” Ridiculous.
At this point it was past may long weekend and I had heard nothing new about my car. I called Colormelt AGAIN and asked what was going on with my car, I spoke with the owner Nick, and he had told me the person who took the pictures of my car doesn’t work there anymore and they don’t have my pictures, WHAT? (did they not think to call me and get this resolved right away?) During this conversation with Nick, he ended up finding the pictures of my car and said he would send them in. The next day I called Nick to confirm that he sent the pictures to MPI, and he said yes.
ANOTHER week had gone by, and MPI STILL did not receive the pictures. Now I was beyond frustrated so I called Colormelt again, Nick answered, and I asked if he could cancel my claim with them. Nick then proceeded to lie and try guilt me by saying he had already ordered parts for my car. I do not know why Nick said this, MPI did not approve my car to get fixed yet AND my car might be a write off so why would he order parts? I still wanted to cancel my claim and Nick said he would call MPI but “it might take awhile.”
I got in my car accident May 2nd, took my car to Colormelt May 4th, pictures were never sent to MPI and my car should have been fixed by now.
It’s the end of June and I’m taking my car to a whole new place, starting the claim all over again. Thank Colormelt!
