Description of Complaint:My husband and I went down to Eastern Chrysler to purchase a new van.We had spoke to the salesman and stated we needed to buy a new van due to our family van breaking down.He had us do a pre approval over the phone with a finance person.Upon approval we came in to speak with the salesman who refused to talk about the purchase price of the van even though we knew exactly what we wanted.He proceeded to hand us off to the business manager R... .He took us into his office and told us we would get a fantastic deal.We continued with R.... and mentioned that we wanted to possibly upgrade some features and he stated we couldn't because it was out of our price range.(later we found out the reason he did not want us to upgrade features was because he wanted us to drive off in a van that night to lock us in that contract instead of ordering one in giving us time to understand that he was misleading us.)We had selected a van at a certain price and he led us to believe he included the 7 year bumper to bumper warranty in the msrp of the van.He then proceeded to add on tire warranty, undercoat and sound proofing while we were on a test drive without our consent. He then told us about the additional add ons and how he threw them ALL in FREE of charge. When it was time to sign the contract R.... had us sign in a particular order and when we noticed we were being charged for the additional add ons we questioned why we were being charged and R.... assured us"it's free,trust me I worked it out in the paperwork the numbers are just for the bank". R.... was rushing us to sign as it was near 10 p.m. The end result R.... lied to us costing us $8,653.00 extra after financing when R.... stated over and over it's free.What a great experience for our 1st time purchasing a brand new vehicle.There was no full disclosure in this contract and we were completely misled.We went back and met with R.... where he lied about all of the above and escorted us out after confronting him and trying to speak with someone else.
