BEWARE OF FRONT DESK GUY. SHADY.

First two experiences was amazing as I dealt directly with John Kieu. Super nice guy, reasonable and did good work. Got oil change, and tire swap at an affordable rate.

Third experience was terrible.

I recently went in for an oil change and to see if I can get my splash shield/skid plate put on as it ripped off during the winter. I was skeptical that they'd be able to put it back on as the plastic panelling had also broke.

I went in and mentioned it to them. The person at the front desk said that they should be able to put it on, but I'll probably have to pay an extra $60.00 for parts and labor. I mentioned that its usually removed when I get an oil change anyways because it covers the oil filter and drain plug. He went on to say that they'll have to use their clips/parts. I said I have the factory screws, but let me know because I don't think that usually costs extra? He came back and said I needed to pay for parts to clip it on, I just said I'll pass and leave it for another time, then he went out and came back and said that they can't install because the plastic is broken. At this point I was okay as I was under impression that it was broken and probably wouldn't be able to be put on anyways so we just changed the oil. But was questioning why it was so much additonal to screw in a skid plate that you would've had to take off anyways?

Where I'm dissatisfied is when I went to pay I got charged $69.54 for an oil change when I supplied the oil and filter where as prior it was $25. He also mentioned that my rotors and rear brakes need to be changed for $350-400. I refused. I was just shocked at the price jump for an oil change and paid the $69.54. I Went home and figured I'd call and ask for more details about the charges. When I called the first time the person that answered called me by my name and then as I started to talk and explain the situation they asked me to hold and I said sure. They returned and in literally seconds they kept saying they couldn't hear me and hung up as I was speaking. I was a bit shocked and called back, without being able to even say hello this time the person answered the phone and said that they will call me back and hung up. At this point I began to get irritated and figured id come back to the shop. In the 5-10 minutes it took me to get to the shop I was not called back. When I got there I mentioned I was overcharged and that I supplied my own oil and filter and Im not sure why the cost was so high. He said that he can credit me towards the brake change and rotors that he said I needed. I refused. He then mentioned that I can use the extra money towards future oil changes. I said no I'd prefer a refund.But still insisted I use it towards a later service. He ended up giving me the cash difference. As he was processing all of this someone called and the phone miraculously seemed to work fine.....

I'm a very mild mannered and easy going person. I wasn't upset that he made a mistake and even overcharged me. What really ruined the experience was the phone calls and pretending the phone didn't work. The refusal to accept the mistake. Next time just own up to the mistake and be honest. Don't put customers on hold and hang up on them. Don't answer the phone saying you'll call back and hang up before they get a word in twice. Also when I'm trying to get a refund for your mistake please don't try to upsell me on another service.

For this terrible experience I have to give 1 star even though the first two experiences were great.
