My experience has been the same as Chandra Keith. Lisa is all about how much she can bill, not about working for her client. She does not present evidence in court applications, nor defend statements made by opposing counsel, despite the defending statements and evidence that should have been brought to the attention of the judge. She jeopardizes her client's case as she wants to do things at her convenient despite being retained knowing of a court imposed timeline resulting in a huge cost order against her client and fails to address aspects of the application, resulting in aspects not being dealt with. While hiring a lawyer, it is the articling student and others in the office who deal with clients, not the lawyer, resulting in extra billing as multiple people are involved in communication rather than communication being with the lawyer who has been retained. It is lawyers like this who give lawyers a bad reputation for being all about how much they can bill, rather than working for and/or doing a good job for their client.
