Reviews of Otto's BMW in Ottawa

September 2022. Booked an appointment for an alignment on my BMW X5. Arrived they brought the car into the shop, two hours later the service advisor Marco called, (I was waiting in the shop) said he needed to talk with me. I met with him, he says my car needs $2000 in repairs as the technician snapped a inner tie rod in half. It just broke he said. I’m a 25 year retired mechanic, so I asked to see my car. It was very clear their technician used an incorrect wrench and excessive force on the inner tie rod to snap the 19mm thick rod in half. There are places that accommodate proper wrenches so force is not place on the outer and inner tie rod joints; these were not used. Marco gave me a $2000 estimate my keys, pushed my car into their parking lot. To bad so sad for me. WTF kind so service is that. He said he lots to do as they are closing in an hour. (Friday of a long weekend too) He I am, not from Ottawa stuck in their parking lot with a car I drove in and they broke. Stay away from Otto’s service department!!! Thieves
