Reviews of Deco De Mode in Victoria

AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you care about your rights as a paying customer! Deco De Mode took my money for services it did not render and refused to give it back!

I urge anyone reading this not to set foot in an establishment that treats its customers so unfairly and disrespectfully and not put their bodies under the care of its employees again.

I purchased a package from Deco de Mode in Winter 2020 right before the COVID-19 pandmic began. When the lockdowns started, I had to move to another province and could not use the rest of my 4/6 sessions. I recently found out that I would not be returning to Victoria to use the rest of my session and reached out to the business to ask for a refund of the rest of my money. I said that it would even be okay to receive store credit to buy services for friends or use in their online shop. The manager Melissa was my point of contact. She refused to give me a refund/credit.
Although repeatedly describing to her that I would not ever come to Victoria, she still kept insisting that they can't offer a refund because of their "store policy" and I can come in for sessions when I'm in town. Again, that is literally impossible for me because I will never be in Victoria again. They finally told me that I cannot even come in for the sessions. They are withholding my money for services that have not, will not, and cannot be rendered.
My move and inability to use the services I paid for was a special circumstance during unprecedented pandemic times and this business failed to accomodate unlike other businesses. Deco De Mode is now basically stealing my money by telling me I can't get a refund because of their "policies", and that I no longer am allowed to come in for my sessions, which is in no way legal. Their "policy" can easily be amended because of my special circumtance. They just refuse to do so.

Deco De Mode's policies, set by the owners, which Melissa kept citing, aren't set in place for their clients, rather to profit off of their clients without any sort of compassion and care for their welfare. The company's handling of this matter was completely illegal.

In her last email, Melissa was very unprofessional, saying "she did not force me to move". This wasn't something that I ever accused her off, and it came off very rude and uncompassionate.

This business has now taken hundreds of dollars of my money and refuses to pay it back. I hope the owners and Melissa reflect on what kind of unjust establishment they are running, and reflect on the illegality and unfairness of their policies.

Anastasia did an amazing job on my eyebrows. It was a great experience I highly recommend her!
